The Ultimate in Sports Surfaces

The Classic surface is based on the original colour coated macadam. A surface that revolutionised all-weather tennis court standards. It provides enhanced play and has excellent durability, even under intensive use. As a result, Classic is an ideal surface, both for new courts and to upgrade existing installations which are currently under-utilised.

A specially-formulated bitumen macadam, gives Classic its well-compacted, smooth and level surface. Designed as a true all-weather surface, its highly porous nature allows for free drainage of surface water. It is frost resistant and much less prone to softening in very hot weather than traditional bitumen bound surfaces, although extra care should be taken in the first year following laying. A basecourse can be installed to help give improved surface tolerances and even better long-term stability.
Shortly after laying, the surface is sprayed with a special finish, developed to protect it, improve ball-bounce and foothold and to enhance both the appearance of the court and ball visibility.

There is a range of colour coatings for you to choose from, or you can opt to leave the surface black.

Classic is designed to suit a range of players and this type of court has the following playing characteristics:

Maintenance
Classic is virtually maintenance free year after year, although, to keep it in top condition, it will benefit from the removal of leaves and debris. Occasional pressure washing will enhance porosity and cleanliness. Respraying may be necessary after approximately 3-5 years.
